accomplishment number one: i jumped off a bridge. (and i had a really good yell)
accomplishment number two: i finished my first book in spanish (it took a long time)

i'm leaving for costa rica Friday
Sept 23. I'm signed up for one month of spanish classes for
now. I'll decide for sure what happens next while i'm there.
i am currently 0-5 vs. carter in monopoly, gosh dang it! and i WILL beat him before I leave.

| here's my most recent attempts at photography. i like taking
night shot's because i get to play around with shots that i can't do
during the day. also, it gives me something to do if it's late at
night and i can't sleep.

| yo yo yo! crazy stuff happens down here and i can use prayer if you're reading this. i was feeling sick this morning, but i'm feeling better. pray i keep feeling better so i can finish well.
last week i spent in tampico-madera on the coast as hurricane emily approached the main land. it missed tampico (except for like 20 minutes of rain) and it came right towards reynosa--the city i've been in all summer and where i left my dad's car. thankfully reynosa is far enough inland that all that was left was mostly rain and as we got back yesterday the whole city was as dry as it has been all summer.
i didn't end up burning the newspaper in my ear, by the way. but i have done plenty of other things like wrestle fierce mexican dogs. if you have suggestions of things i should try--let me know.
i have the next few days off so if you e-mail me now i can get back to you before i leave again
